If you get DDOS attacks on wifi, then provider can't help with that. IP address change also does nothing, to prevent it.
It's not attack on public IP. It's attack on router wifi service.

You may be able to set up mac address filtering in router settings.
Basically you have to list all mac addresses, that are allowed to interact to wifi of your router. All the other mac addresses get ignored.

But - your router may not have options available to do this. Depends on router model.

If you really want to change your IP address, release your current isp IP address, change your router's mac address, and then renew the dhcp--this should get you a different ip address.
