How to change the connected gpu to my laptop screen. And no 144hz, but advertised as 144hz

Hi everyone,

I bought a new laptop, the HP Victus 16-350nd.
When I want to change the refresh rate there are only 40 and 60 hz options. The laptop is advertised as 144hz.
I think the problem is that my laptop screen is connected to the AMD integrated graphics, but I could be totally wrong.
Any help?

Specs:
-R7 5800H
-16GB Ram
-RTX 3050

Is that your model? Its specification does not mention 144 Hz screen at all. Other versions do have 144 Hz screens, there are even some with 165 Hz screen, but not this one.

I checked it on this (dutch) website. https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1729168/hp-victus-16-e0350nd/specificaties/ you'll have to press "beeldscherm" voor monitor specs.

Ok, but that's a shop's specification - and those can and often are wrong. My link is manufacturer specification and it does not mention 144 Hz at all.

Hmm, might have been misadvertised then, weird since all dutch sites that sell the laptop adveritse as 144hz

There is a gazilion versions of this laptop, and some of them do have 144 Hz display. Very easy mistake to make.
