So did I give you right link or you want to change one on your PC?

On PC - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...password-8271d17c-9f9e-443f-835a-8318c8f68b9c

If the logon is attached to MSA, I don't know how you could have 2 passwords as the online one should match your PC. I use a PIN, its not used online so in a way I have two. It seemed to confuse Microsoft Office as over Christmas I would keep getting told there are problems with my logon as the password office had wasn't my pin.

Thats to change my Microsoft Password, not my login to the pc password, which is different.

Yep. My Microsoft account is linked to the PC. When i log on my account is the Microsoft one.

When the PC starts up. The first screen i see.

That password is different to the Microsoft account one. Even though i'm signing in to my account linked to the pc.

Thats what i don't understand.

  • Press Windows key + R.
  • Type netplwiz and hit Enter.
  • Under User account windows, select the User Profile for which you need to change the password and select Reset Password.
  • Enter the New password and confirm the password and click OK
    Click Apply/OK.
  • But the User Profile from which he executes these steps should have administrator privileges.

When i do that, it opens up a Microsoft box to enter password. (the microsoft one) which i do.

Then it asks to change the password, but this is the microsoft one, not the login one for my PC.

I want to change the Password when i login to my PC.

Maybe.............https://www.bing.com/search?q=how%20to%20create%20users%20in%20windows%2010%20site:microsoft.com&form=B00032&ocid=SettingsHAQ-BingIA&mkt=en-US

Perhaps the answer is to create a new user account and then delete the old account.

I have never mucked around with this so I suggest you make a complete system backup just in case it turns into a hash.
