Question how to choose a receiver for my Fluance sx6?

Hi,

I'm starting to dig in quality sound and because of my folly bought speakers firstly lol. I want to buy some inexpensive stereo receiver. What parameters are crucial?

The info I can find is that they are 8ohm speakers. Any receiver should be OK. Some reviews say those speakers NEED a subwoofer.
If it was me, I would buy a used high quality unit. NAD, Carver, B&K, Denon on E-Bay or at a pawn shop.

That's what ur suppose to do, speakers first, then electronics.

Unless these are floor speakers with 10" driver, most F+R can use a sub.

Rule#1, buy as much power as u can afford.
Rule#2, the less sensitive the speakers are the more power u need.
