How to convert a PC into a gaming machine

Hello,
I am in need to convert my old PC which still runs on Windowx XP to convert into good gaming machine in less than 5000-10000(Indian Rupees).
OR
Should i buy a PS2 to cater the gaming need which would cost me 6000 INR.
I am in need to to play Modern Warfare 2 and Assasin Creed 2 sort of gmaes.

First, tell us the spec of your existing PC. You may be able to upgrade it to give you a decent gaming PC.

However, do you think you'd enjoy gaming on a PC over a console? One involves sitting at a desk, the other at a couch.

I'm pretty sure he means a PS2 since 6000 INR more or less translate to the cost of a Radeon HD 6670.

yeah we need more info of your rig, use hwinfo32 to get that info.
get a hd7770 and put that in your pc to play hd games on your pc. Also buy a remote

Well since 10,000 rupees is just about 200 USD I would say invest it into the computer. Even if you have to play games at extremely low settings, you will atleast be playing them. A playstation 2 isn't going to play either of the games you listed
