How to cool my hard drive

Hey I have an internal hard drive that I have docked on the exterior top of my inwin case it has a sata connection on the top that I use when I ever I want to use some video editing programs so question is I noticed it gets hot when I go to use it and should I cool it? A clip fan ? If they ever have any or somthing

the only way I know to cool a hard drive is to remove the plastic casing above it and expose it to the open air (which is a bad idea and doesnt cool it that much).

also download hwmonitor @ http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.25.zip
this program allows you to see reatltime the temperature of the hard drive in celsius orfahrenheit
run the program and go to the hard drive section. there should be something that says temperature assembly .
