How to create a back up disk

Hello,my pc is not working properly. How can I create a backup disc of all my videos, photos, documents and all important stuff to me? When I turn it on a noise comes out and it doesn't work and I have to turn it off and on many times before it starts working again? is there a way to fix this without having to reformat?

It sounds like your HDD is failing. Do not try to start your machine again until you have a replacement HDD with a capacity >= to your current HHD. When you have the new HHD, install it to your computer, start the machine and run the manufacturer's software to clone your old HDD to the new one.
