How do I diasble scandisk in XP?
Can it be disabled?

Good news: There is no scandisk in Windows XP, and it's successor (known as
Disk Error Checking or chkdsk) is run manually.

Thanks, then how do you disable chkdsk?

Does it find any errors? This is often a sign of a failing hard drive.
