May anyone give me a helping hand to resolve a booting problem. whenever I turn on my computer it appears a message that is about the choice betweent two installed windows sytems although there is only one operational system. it really sucks and I need to eliminate this message as it prevents the computer to boot automatically . I would be so grateful if any one can help me fixing this issue.

Do the following:

START > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM

Choose the Advance tab. Under Startup and Recovery click Settings button.

Click on the Edit button. It should read the following:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer

START > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM

Choose the Advance tab. Under Startup and Recovery click Settings button.

There is a drop-down box that is labeled "Default operating system"
Click the down-pointing triangle and select the operating system you want to have load every time.

There are 2 check boxes under that drop-down box, uncheck the first one, leave the second one checked.

Now when you start the computer, it will go directly to XP (if that is what you chose in the drop-down box).
