How to find hp printer url

To connect my Windows XP desktop to a home network wireless HP printer, I have to supply the requisite URL. How do I find out what this is?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

You set up most wireless printers from the little window on the printer itself. It will ask you to choose a network from those it can see and then will want the wireless security key.

You could find its URL from the router settings pages under Connected Devices but I doubt you have an address for it until you've been through the stage I described above.
