How to find out DRAM type?

I would like to buy RAM same as the one I am using, but in my old order I can´t find a DRAM type and the two products I am looking for are the same except for one having DRAM Type: 256Mx8 and the other has DRAM Type: 512Mx8.

I was able to find the frequency of my RAM and voltage, but I can´t find a way to find what type is my current RAM.

Btw is it safe to use 512x8 with 256x8? Is 512 type better?

Even if you buy the same exact modules they might not be compatible with your old set , you won't know till you actually try it.

Best to purchase in a new pair.

I am currently using this type of RAM in my PC :

However I would like to upgrade it with another kit but I found out that there is a difference. The DRAM value of the current one is 256Mx8.

I would like to know if it is safe to use the same RAM kit but with the DRAM type of 512Mx8.

Does it mean that the 512Mx8 is better?
Is it safe to combine these two despite being same in every other aspect?
Is there any potential benefit of choosing 512Mx8 over 256Mx8?
