How to Flash ATI cards?

Hello. I have a ATI 4870 1GB card. At first I thought they've fixed the fan issue since a few sites have said this issue has been resolved with the 1GB version. However, after trying it on myself the situation hasn't improved. In fact, I find that my fan was barely spinning and the temps were way too high. I had to use Catalyst driver to set the fan speed back up to 28%.

I've had experience flashing Nvidia cards and now I want to do the same for my ATI card. I want to flash it so that I can set the default fan speed to 28%. How can I achieve this?

downloading the newest drivers might help.

flashing your card wont do @#*% but make a nice paperweight
