hello,bro
i am bought a asus h81m-d budget motherboard with intel g3258 processor small doubt how to overclock atleast 3.2ghz to 3.6ghz with stock cooler pls tell me step by step i am little confused so many times i try can't overclock

Solution
It's pretty easy. I have overclocked both of my G3258s to 4.2 and 4.5Ghz on the stock cooler.

You need to re-start your computer and use F2 or the DEL key to get into the UEFI.

Do you know how to post screen shots to these threads? It will be a help if we can check what you are doing.

You will need to go into Advanced Mode and should be able to do what you want by manually changing the CPU Multiplier value from 32 to 36 and saving ad re-booting.

Why isn't it working? I need information to help you. What have you done? Go into BIOS and change the multiplier from 32 to 36, save and exit and re-boot. What part does not work.?

What version of BIOS do you have? Do you have a locked BIOS, that will not allow overclocking?

Are you saying that you BIOS does not allow overclocking at all, even for the G3258?

After dealing with the issues of Windows 10, this person http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2822122/couldnt-overclock-g3258-asus-h81m.html managed to succeed, so it is possible.

This poster also likely succeeded, since they never asked any more questions. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2425943/g3258-h81m-overclock.html

Is saved a screenshot and then uploaded it to tinypic.com, where I can link to it in this post.
