I have 4 1gb ram modules installed in my dfi lanparty nf4 ultra d mobo but only 2 are being detected!!! Originally 3 were detected. now only 2 are detected! how do I get all four 1gb modules to be detected? the bios AND os currently only see 2 of the four modules detected by the way.

I have 4gb corsair pro series ddr ram 4x 1gb
I tried other brands that say they work with lanparty ultra d also.
No difference.

what do I do?
do I do something with the jumper or is something screwy with my mobo??

Well since I'm not an AMD builder, I can't give an honest opinion on it one way or the other. What I can say from an Intel side is that the '00s (2000-2009) Foxconn boards were junk for the most part. But that was then, and only for Intel since I never was involved with AMD. Ironically, now Foxconn is the OEM maker for many motherboard makers like ASUS and Gigabyte for both Intel and AMD.

With that said, when you deal with old hardware, you will eventually run out of life on them. So that build may be good for a year, maybe five years, or maybe just a week. I only trust a new build. I keep waiting for my C2D build mentioned previously to croak when hitting the power button every time.

Ok cause some motherboards like optiplex boards have a special non standard front panel header. This isn't one of those???

Well the only way to be sure was to see if you can still download the service manual from Dell's website on that motherboard. Being a relatively rare nForce chipset, I can't imagine there would be too many OEMs wanting to go rogue and design a specific board proprietary just for Dell. But yes, that does happen.
