How to get better or same colour from the ATI to Nvidia

hi everyone i bought the gts 250
run a few game,
good card
but when watch dvd and divx movie

my partner told me that once i installed the card the old ATI 3850 did much better in movies colours

also my bother just got himself a 4830
he told me than it does much better colour with the blu-ray movie than the old 8600gt

i miss you AMD/ATI

i am your big fan sadly using Intel/Nvidia

i use both card with the samsung 22" 1680*1050

ANY HELPS are welcome

 
Screens should be calibrated. Various software and software / hardware options are available. When you change cards, even from model to same model, recalibration should be gone.

Note also that most LCD screens are "over saturated" , that is colors are over done so that they look better on a store shelf with the area lit by cheap flourescent lighting.....much the way bass and treble are over saturated so that it sounds good on a portable boom box.

beware tho .... Very often after calibrarting an over saturated display, owners will look at it and say "it looks flat" since they are "used to" the overly bright colors.
