Question How to get direct x 12 and USB mouse/keyboard passthrough on any VM ? any os !

Hi all

I'm trying to get a second gaming setup on one pc and cant find a free way to do it. I seen a loot of pay options from Linus tech videos on YT about how to make 2 player gaming rig in one pc.
Right now I have to use Hyper-V, parsec and VMware combo to get the direct x12 and USB passthrough.

Any thoughts ?

Hyper-V does not pass audio. So thats one fail point.

Free+multiseat requires a LOT of research. If it can be done at all.

And of course, we have no idea of what hardware and OS you're working with.

Ya we had this conversation a long time ago and was hoping there might be a new solution. All the free multi seating's don't work. And I dont care about audio passing thru
And as for hardware and os's I'm not picky as I just need any combo to work.

AFAIK, the landscape has not changed.

this is the only solution i know of that seems to do what you want

it is not free but there is a free trial so you can test it out.

i've not tried it as i did it the old fashioned harder way. and Linux is much easier as the host OS than windows, but this software seems to do what it says from what i have seen. i've considered looking into it more but i've got mine working and don't want to risk messing that up 😉

Question - Can't change lockscreen "managed by your organization" after uninstalling Ibik Aster

Hey everyone, afer i uninstalled the Ibik Aster, it keeps the company wallpaper in lock screen, and when i try to change it, windows says that "some settings are managed by your organization", anyone have any idea how to solve it?

That's interesting. Not tried it myself so don't know of it's issues.

There was another software I saw not long after win 11 came out. But don't recall what it was called. I was looking into GPU passthrough myself and was shown that video in response. Don't remember who posted it either. But @Colif comes to mind as he watches and shares a lot of videos.

Was 2 guys playing some shooter on one PC split up with software.

LTT wants to try to make 1 PC run multiple users on one game now after trying out the new EPYC 192core CPU

They have done it before but I didn't watch video to see how sound was handled

Ya I tried it before. It either didn't work or it was ridiculously expensive.
>_< How hard was it to get it working on a Linux ? I really would love to get a 2nd gaming instances on same monitor. Do you have to have a separate gpu passthrough to get the second instance/vm to handle a game with direct x 12 support ? I'm trying to reduce electricity as I am near off grid all the time.(battery's and solar panels)
If its doable I'll start researching Linux again.

AFAIK, the one thing Hyper-V does not do is pass audio.

Of course, I could be completely mistaken.
