How to get my SSD ready for new machine? (Windows 10)

Hello folks!

I have recently purchased all new parts to start my first ever build! I'm really excited as everything is supposed to be arriving today! What I didn't get brand new was my SSD that currently has Windows 10 on it, which was upgraded from Windows 7. I'm wondering how I should go about getting Windows 10 back onto my SSD. Should I install Windows 7 first from the disc, and then upgrade to Windows 10? Is there any formatting or something I need to do before I even put my SSD into the new mobo?

Download Windows 10 and put it onto a disc or USB stick and install it fresh.

The only problem being is activating Windows 10 on your new machine, that someone else can advise you on!

If you had W10 already activated on that MB (MB only thing that counts) you can do clean install on new SSD. Skip entering any license while installing.
