Question how to get notifications from youtube

My tablet gets notifications from youtube but not from google chrome. My desktop is only getting google chrome and no notifications from youtube.

Have you made sure you've logged into your Google account when on Chrome on your desktop? You should be getting notifications on both platforms if yo're logged into both devices using the same account.

I am. its odd that my tablet is getting what i want(youtube but no junk from chrome) I had to shut of notifications from chrome.. to much media junk.
