Question how to increase my internet speed

my connection is 30mbps but when i download anything i get maximum of 4mbps
how to increase the speed of the internet
is there any problem or suggestions?

Advertised speeds are just theoretical. You'll never actually get it.

1. Make sure no one else is connecting to the Internet at the same time,
2. Use Ethernet connections as often as possible.
3. Scan your system for malware/viruses.
4. Pay for faster Internet.

Download from where?

From Steam, that is a normal number.

Your ISP reports in megabits/sec.
Steam reports in megabytes/sec.
Approx 8:1 ratio.

4 * 8 = 32.


Also, how are you connected to your router? Wired or WiFi?

when i download from google, say from random website
and my connection is wired using cable and along wifi router and nobody uses except me alone as it is password protected

Well Im getting 30mbps download as well as upload from speedtest.net
