I installed linux on my pc that already had windows, it gave me the option of installing linux (mint 15) side by side with my windows 7.
Apparently the linux os was stored on something called a loop device, with 16gb of space.
I didn't think much of it but it is now a few weeks later and I am running out of room.
I am running linux live on a usb atm. I tried to resize the 16gb (make it larger) but the space linux is running on doesn't even show up on gparted!
Here is an image of what my disks look like and what shows up on gparted:
Anyone know what's going on? What exactly is a loop device and how can I increase the amount of space on it?
