Okay if it is stolen then it should not activate when I try to activate it right and how is Gamers Outlet not shut down yet by the Police or Courts or from Microsoft themselves with their unlimited money to pursue legal proceedings against them?
That's literally not how any of this works.

I would explain why these kinds of torts are subject to cost/benefit analysis as are law enforcement resources, but it's clear that you don't care and you're just going to do whatever you want anyway and dismiss anything, so I'm not going to expend the effort.

Just know that I and everyone else reading this thread know something very specific about the content of your character.

not all those grey market keys are stolen, sometimes you buy laptop with preinstalled office and you know you wont need it, so you resell it (licence key), another option would be destroyed laptop with those keys, you just dont know if its stolen or not...well once it deactivates, then you will know its shady

btw that phone number for activation belongs to microsoft OEM..so licence came from preinstalled office to some laptop and OEM office is tied to that laptop it came with, its not transferable, so theres a really big chance that MS will deactivate it sooner than later

I would be more worried if you used your credit card to purchase this from Gamer's Outlet than what Microsoft is doing about it. You just gave them a valid Credit Card - peruse your statements closely.

These cheap licenses are sold via many means.

Money laundering is one...
Lets say you can get 1000 valid credit card details, for cheap.
How to turn that into actual cash?
Buy several hundred valid license keys for Windows, Office, games.
Sell those at a deep discount.
By the time everything catches up, the criminal is long gone with the money. Remember, these are bought as valid...just with stolen credit card credentials.

Do you want to support criminal activity?

If I knew Gamers Outlet were criminals I would not support them by giving them $4-5 and I am still surprised that their website is still running with their criminal operations not being shut down.

However... one thing that confuses me is that TrustPilot website reviews paint it a different picture:

So these nearly 10,000 positive reviews from customers must be fake if they are criminals?
