Im making a gaming PC first time but I wonder how shall I installed all an SSD with an HDD. I want the OS in SSD and games and other files in HDD. Is SSD is like a pen drive ?

Solution
Hi Sarthak. Actually this is not any different than installing your OS on an HDD. The SSD is connected to the motherboard via a SATA conenction just as the HDDs nowadays. I'd recommend that you install your OS as usual, but with the HDD disconnected! After the installation process has finished, turn off your computer and connect the HDD. Then go ahead and switch the computer back on (make sure that you've selected the SSD as the boot device in BIOS). After Windows boots up, you should go to Disk Management and initialize, partition and format the HDD. Here's how to do that:
1. Initialize a hard drive: How to initialize or write a signature to a secondary hard drive or Solid State drive in Windows (8, 7, Vista, XP)
2. How to...
Its simple, connect both your SSD and HDD with a SATA power connector and a SATA cable, then you install the OS on the SSD and once you boot into the SSD Windows will detect a hard drive connected to your system and thats where you can install you other files 😀

Just click on the corresponding OS and follow the instructions. (Note that even though it might say "WD drive" in some places, these instructions go for every HDD/SSD there, no matter which brand it is.)
And here's a link with some useful info on SSDs, including moving system folders to the HDD: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2110095/the-ultimate-guide-to-proper-ssd-management.html

Hope that helps.

Sorry for this foolish question but what does SSDs do except load and boot fast ? Im making a budget PC with Asus ranger and i7 4790k. Is SSD really necessary ? Their prices are just too much

The speed the SSD offers is a pretty decent booster for your OS and programs, but if you're making a budget build, then you'd better go with 2 HDDs instead of the HDD + SSD combo, or you could get only one HDD now, save up some money and add the SSD later, but this way, you'll have to deal with cloning your system if you want to keep everything, or you could just do a fresh install and start over. :)
Even if you intend to install some of your games on the SSD, it wouldn't offer any visual enhancements or anything like that, but it would make the game load instantly (including the in-game loading screens). This is nice, but it's definitely not a necessity when it comes to budget gaming builds. :)
