Hi guys.
I have a 500gb Samsung Internal hard disc which is not working. When I plug it in my laptop, it open bios and shows that No hard disc is found. It also makes a clicking sound for few seconds when laptop starts but then it stops and show bios, I know this sound means that my hard disc is dead but still I don't want to throw my 500gb hard disk.
I have open my hard disk and check for stuck head but it wasn't. Also there were no scratch on discs.
And I neither found any Burnt marks on PCB of Hard disc.
So, my question is What should I do to make it work again ?
And how to check whether my PCB is faulty ?
Also, Can I replace its PCB with PCB of 500gb Toshiba hard disc(working), both of the PCB looks similar (Sort of).

Sorry for my bad English.

Hey avigo. I'm sorry to have to say this mate, but the drive is now totally dead. Yes, the clicking sounds indicate the failure of a hard disk, but when you've opened it and exposed the platters you've damaged it for good. 🙁
Please remember not to do that ever again with your future HDDs, because this will always damage the drive if it's done right (in a room with the required clean level)

It is possible to swap PCB's but you have to find exact model and revision of the hard drive. Sometimes second hand PCB's are sold on ebay, but its rather a data recovery way more than making the drive to be useful again.
Even if you swap PCB there is a decent chance some mechanical part on the drive was broken. Its not easy, its not practical and there is no warranty it will work without professional servicing.
Opening this drive only made it worse...

As of the comment above.... i thought first you have to test something is broken before you say it is. Totally dead is relative... for average person without knowledge how to reassemble it indeed it is.
