I have a 4pin ubs cable, and i cut one end off. that end i cut off iwould like to know what kind of conn. And how to. Plug to a Jetdirect 600N card for my HP LaserJet 4050N. You see my new Dell only has USB.

does your Dell have an Network card? if not use a USB Network card and a network cable.

you cannot connect the USB wires to the RJ45.

Actually Emerald you CAN plug USB wires to RJ45, but the results wouldn't be pretty...

Yeah what you are trying to do is jam a square peg into a round hole. Just get a network adapter
