How to make a lan of 20 computers i dont have any server this is the first time

Buy 24port Network Switch connect all 20 computer to it using LAN wire configure the IP Address & Sub mask individually to each computer (Rem: # every IP Address should be similar in first 3rd Quads & 4th Quad should be UNIQUE i.e, 192.168.0.1 then 192.168.0.2 and so on to 192.168.0.20) then input Subnet Mask as 255.255.255.0.
Apply & Restart every computer inividually.

You dont need a specific server & you are connected to STAR Network.

food for thoughts:

in case you want to add a router later, it is advisable to not use .1 (ex. 192.168.0.1) it might cause a IP conflict with the router (duplicate IP)

The conflict will occur if router is added where as I am putting all the connection through the switch as the question itself says,"How to make a lan of 20 computers i dont have any server this is the first time."
This also indicate that the person is an Amature & would not be in a position to configure a ROUTER.....
