Go to the User Accounts Control panel (In win 10 type User Account in the search box), the the second selection is change account type and you can set your account to administrator..... Assuming you have administrator access otherwise.

Ok so instructions are the same, go to control panel and select user accounts, click "Manage user accounts" then select your account and hit Properties. There you can set it as administrator.
