I purchased (on line) a SSD drive reputed to be 8Tb in size. Upon inspection, I found it was really four 2Tb drives somehow encased in the same enclosure. This is a problem for me. Is there a way to merge/link the four drives? I am on a MacPro, by the way.

Can I have a guess - purchased from Wish ?

If each storage module are in fact in working order (despite bad performance), if using a Linux computer - the most ideal way to combine them are probably to join them together (btrfs single man page ). Windows doesn't support making USB drives into dynamic disk (requirement for making raid or just joining volumes).

Or you can do it this way (also need Linux OS):

Aloha from Hawaii!

Thanks to the people who responded on this thread. For your information, I disputed this with the credit card company on 11/14 and enclosed pictures showing their use of the wrong drive and claiming the higher speed. The credit just became permanent. As of right now, their website is unavailable.

Permanent credit of $129.76 from citi.com. Did not use paypal's dispute system. I knew U.S. Federal law would probably be more helpful with the credit card company.
