I have recently bought 2 ram sticks of 4gb ddr3 1333mhz hp ram.
When I put it in the motherboart it beeps threetimes(not detecting memory), but the mobo supports the memory in oc. When i put in ddr2 ram it works. I dont know how to oc my mobo to make it work with 1333mhz ram.
Please help.

Solution
Ddr2 that was working Corsair cm2x1042-6400c4
Ma new memory(not working)
591750-071 hp
So i oc-ed my cpu to around 2.6ghz, raised the voltage to 1.8 V, set my ram fsb/dram ratio to 1:2.00 to set my ram speed to 1333 mhz (i did this with my ddr 2 sticks, saved the settings, shut down my pc plugged off wall, pressed start button to release all electrysity, put my ddr2 out, put my ddr3 1stick in, plugged it in the wall, and turn on it didnt detect it, so i turned off, plugged out of the wall, put out my ddr3, removed CMOS battery, waited a minute, puted cmos battery back in and ddr2 back in and started like normal. I dont know what to do.
If you set the CPU voltage to 1.8v, you are setting voltages too high. I don't think you...
So in my previous thread i had some issues with ram and i didnt bought the right ram (so exitet to get more knowledge abaut that) and i have been looking around the internet and coudnt find any thyng good just overpriced modules.
So here's what i need
2x4GB Non-ECC Unbuffered DDR3 low density "
Thanks

Anything that old will best be purchased on the used market. E-Bay would be the recommendation.

The A-Tech and Cosair kits will work as they are low density modules, but that single Kingston 4GB module is high density with the memory chips on only one side, so it won't work on your motherboard. I have no idea how good A-Tech brand is, so I can't comment on that, but Corsair is usually good.

Are you 100%sure? It will downhrate its speed to 1333mhz?
DDR3 was originally designed to run 800-1600Mhz. I used to run my C2Q Q6600 overclocked with DDR3 ram on my MSI P43-C51. I had G.Skill DDR3 1600 modules running at 1333Mhz and 333Mhz FSB with stock voltage and overclock for 24/7 running. Right now that system is set to run at stock clocks with the DDR3 running at 1066Mhz.

Oh and im planning to buy a q9500 fo 20€.
Ok or not ok?
It's compatible with the motherboard, but you will probably need to buy a new CPU cooler because the stock cooler for your E6420 might not be sufficient. You also won't need to overclock with the Q9500 as it's default FSB is 333Mhz, so the memory will run at 1333 if that is what you want.

Other compatible CPUs are listed here. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/G41M-P33-Combo.html#support-cpu

If your new memory does not work on the motherboard you may need to update the bios as there are newer version that have better memory compatibility. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/G41M-P33-Combo.html#down-bios

No nedd to worry abaut the cooler i threw the chinese cooler off and put the best cooler ont the mobo with some modifucations it has a cooper core in the middle, and when i oc the cpu to 2.7(max) and raise the voltage for 0.025V. I have at load (100%) 47* C at max so i dont think that is a problem.

G41 chipsets mobos are picky in ram...i have a G41 mobo right now...my ram is Geil Value plus 2GB and Geil Enhanced corsa 4GB with a total of 6GB..works fine... running at 1066mhz (1333 OC)
