If it's set at 4.5x66, try setting it at 3x100 and see if it works OK. The higher bus speed helps if it is available. If that works OK, try 3.5x100 to get 350 out of it.

i mean i don't know anything about overclocking.
what is jumper where is it how does it look like?
what is multiplier wehre is it?
I have softsb program which changes multiplier setting on windows and when i restarted my p2 300 pc it read p2 377mhz. can a software overclock cpu? then i was scared it could fry my pc i removed the settings.

Hi, I don't understand articles. I don't know what are jumpers and multipliers and where they are how to manipulate them. I have dell xps d300 (p2) 3years old intel chipset.

Your sytem speed is controlled in Bios. System bus for your system runs at 66MHz. The multiplier sets the CPU at a mutiple of system speed. To get in to system settup, go to the following webpage:

Your system support multiplication up to 333MHz. SoftFSB can give you additional system bus speed from there.
