I am trying to find a way to explore or extract the BIOS Internals out of the stock bios .rom file. I am suspicious that the card had a failed or modded bios flashing out of the factory.
The situation is that from the beginning i experienced pc freezes right after i installed the new card. I tried 2 different psus to no avail. I fixed my motherboard that had one bent pin, still nothing. Those freezes are the ones that make the system completely irresponsive and only through a hard reset you can get back up. Later i discovered that the boost engine clock of the card was set at 1212 mhz instead of 1250 mhz that the manufacturer has set. Today i flashed a modded bios that also unlocks shaders and TMUs and the problem seems to be resolved. I got the card about 25 euros cheaper and started wondering whether the card had issues previously making the retailer to drop the price.
I have a copy of my stock bios saved in my pc and i was wondering if there is any way to read those bios internals and compare with other bios available in the internet.
The card is Sapphire RX460 4gb Nitro OC.
