Question How to reinstall the OS on a Sony Vaio PCG-61611L ?

Hey guys, I am working on this laptop. At first it powers up and goes to desktop. I then tried pressing the F10 at startup to get to the boot menu so I can choose the win10 USB but it led me to a "Rescue" screen so I chose that option but then the screen went blank and now when pressing the power button it just stays lit and no screen, help please?

does your laptop have the assist button? if so shut down laptop press the assist. should take you to care rescue mode then F11. other wise i would say whilst booting mash f12

Thanks but there's no screen now to do anything. I was told by some hardware repair guys that it's a mobo issue.

If it goes to desktop and works there, if you are on windows 10, go to settings (the gear), then to recovery. You should have the option to reset it from there which should do a reinstall.

You didn't do well. What windows did you have before you used the "Rescue" option on win10USB?
What specifications does the laptop have? Does it have SSD or HDD? If it has a HDD, then that explains why nothing appears on the screen.
