How to replace the Intel 7260 AC wifi card in Toshiba P55W-B5224

I need to find a card with the same form factor as the intel 7260 ac that came with this laptop. I can't get over the awful speed and range issues of the 7260. Can anyone tell me what wifi cards will work in this laptop?

Hey There! You know you can buy an external USB Wifi Connector? Why would you want a "non-ac" card?

If I could get an AC card that worked properly, then great! It's just that the Intel 7260 is plagued with speed and range issues. My router is in my living room and I can't get a signal in my bedroom or home office. I have several other laptops, tablets and even cell phones that get great throughput in any room of my house. These issues with the 7260 are widespread and Intel isn't fixing them. External wifi dongle is not the way I want to go. Do you have any other card model number that you could recommend to swap it out?
