There is a program called WIC Reset Utility which will reset the counter for your Waste Ink Pad. Through a quick search I found sites like this one: http://www.2manuals.com/product_info.php?products_id=1149 that charge you a small fee for a key that is good for one reset.
I don't know how much that site charges but I have seen others charging about $10 for a key for that app.
I have never payed to reset any of my Epsons and if you look around long enough you will probably find a way to do it for free.
There is a free program called "SSC Service Utility for Epson Printers" Here: http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml but it doesn't appear to support your printer.

I would do some searches like "WIC Reset Utility + your printer model" or "reset Waste Ink Pad counter + your printer model"

The reason Epson printers stop printing after a certain number of prints is because (according to Epson) it's time to change the waist ink pad.

This is not always the case since if you aren't printing constantly the ink will dry up anyway but, still it's good to at least check the pad.

A service manual can come in very handy and you can also find allot of good DIY guides relating to this on the web including YouTube.

Good luck!

I have Epson XP-600 printer and the waste ink overflow happened. I downloaded WIC utility but it seems it doesnt support this model at this time.
So I have contacted by Live Help their support and they helped me to reset the waste ink counter on my xp600 printer. I have installed one program and they have reset my printer online. I think you can do the same - it took about 15 min. If you have questions - I'll be happy to answer.

I used WIC utility to reset waste ink counters in my epson printers - works perfect. You can download it free and check waste counters free.
