How to run a 144hz monitor and a 60hz monitor

Im having issues running my main monitor at 144hz anytime i plug in my second monitor it auto goes to 60hz with no way for me to change it back unless i unplug the 60hz one. Im using a dvi to dvi and a dvi to display
