Question How to run multiple steam accounts with games at the same time

I heard that easiest way would be fast switching user to a different account and then that game would still be running in the background, is it true? Would i still be able to run another instance of that game? The game is Rust by Facepunch. im obviously thinking about running those games at the lowest garbage settings possible.

I am not sure I understand the why....but to the question, perhaps a virtual machine?

Not really sure that would go well. I am a complete noob where it comes to utilizing them properly. On the system I run a couple from they seem to tie up a whole lot of resource in the background. The other aspect I have personally had issue with is figuring out how to allocate GPU resources to it.

Can you log into simultaneous user accounts on the same PC without it logging you out of the other session?
