So I can overclock my monitor to 67Hz at 1920 x 1080 resolution. I'll keep it at 65Hz to be on the safe side.

What I want to know is, in case my monitor ever fails because of the overclock, can I do something so it resets to factory settings at boot?
This would need to happen automatically in case the monitor display wasn't working.

Solution
If it fails just plug it into another port on your graphics card. Windows should detect as a different device and adress it with the settings it recieved through the EDID, most likely 1920x1080x32 @ 60 Hz

Yeah I know that. But if the display does work, but at a later time stops working, then what?
