You don't adjust the settings on the TV. You adjust them via your PC. Change the scaling percentage.
Also, make sure your PC's display resolution matches your TV's native resolution, i.e, 1929x1080, etc.
Thank you COLGeek for your reply. Win 11 has a strong warning by the scaling that if you change it it will be difficult to get back to what had been the scaling if you need to. I've done a search on Internet and found that to be true. One person changed the scaling but it messed up the display, and he couldn't get it back to what it had been. I saw lots of other posts complaining about how terrible Win 11 scaling is to use to try to get a better display with it. The common thread was how awful it is - and has been since Win 11 came out - and rarely helped get a satisfactory display from changing it (and that it also sometimes changed the resolution when the scaling was changed). After seeing all of that I'm not going to open this can of worms.
As for not adjusting the settings on the combo monitor, the unit
HAS a
Picture Control Adjustment setting control to shift/center the display. The problem is that control is only accessible when the unit is in
PC (VGA) mode. When I switch it to
HTMI mode that setting control cannot be selected. I don't understand why that should be the case. I don't see why
HDMI mode would obviate using
Picture Control Adjustment settings. It seems my only option is to get a universal
HDMI-to-VGA adapter that works and use the Toshiba in
PC(VGA) mode. (I have a Dell
HDMI-to-VGA adapter but that works only with my small, old Dell monitor and not with the Toshiba combo where I get just a blank screen with the adapter.)
