how to set timer to pc to shutdown

hey guys
my brother plays a lot on pc without giving any break .
my pc has win 8.1. is there any feature in windows so i can put timer so that all programs will close and pc will shutdown

or is there any third party application

Yes, simply press Windows + R
That'll open up Run and then type
shutdown -s -t 1800
1800 is the time after which the PC will turn of.(It's measured in seconds)
To abort the shutdown open up Run again and type shutdown -a
