how to setup2 cpu

Hi all,

I own a mother board Abit BX 6 with a Intel P2 secc2 350 on it.

On the Soft menu 2 of the board, a technician setup my cpu 350 with the following setting:
233 (66)
Turbo = Off
Cpu power supply = Dpu default
Core voltage to 2.00v

Is it ok?
If you have the time to explain me what are these setting?

Another one if you have the time:

I heard that I could put a Pentium III
800MHz 256KB L2 Cache 100MHz FSB Slot1 SECC2 on it.

What could be the best setting for that 800 mhz speed?

Do you think that the abit will go too heat with that.

Do I ll feel the difference??? I make some 2d-3d graphic in my spare time. But I always remember couple years ago, I had upgraded from 133 to 200mmx and...I didn t saw a big difference in my application.
Now, do this upgrade worth spending some money for that.

What do you think about that

Those settings are not correct.

should be 3.5 x 100Mhz FSB = 350Mhz or 350(100)
It seems you are underclocking your CPU

Not sure wh you have "turbo" but turn it on if you can and core voltage is correct.

The highest CPU supported by your mobo is 533Mz celeron or 450Mhz P2

PLi makes a adapter so you can insert newest processors (up to 1Ghz) in your old BX chipset board. Ill try to find URL for you.

The jump from 350 tp 800 will be a huge difference. What applications are you using for graphics?

For 3D graphics you might need a faster video card for increased performance.

Thanks fugger, Yea...:::-((( My cpu was Undercloking! I m newbies when setting a cpu
But I changed to the pre configured to 100 x 3.5 and now all work well. Now Its is reel speed-
But...I dont feel any difference between the undercloking setup 233 (66) and now 350 (100)???

My board can hold an 800. I can setup 8 x 100 (100)!

What kind of adapter Do I need To put on? and what brand of cpu???

I use max, lw, Rhino, Actually I own a Diamond Fire GL1000 pro 8 mg. there not too much memory on it.
Only 8mg. I think to got a 32 mg card soon.
