Question How to stop any software closing all other programs in background.

I have a software which plays videos from the drive which are encrypted. I want to record the videos but the software only allows notepad and calculator to run in the background and closes all other programs including screen recorders. Is there any way I can record videos maybe disguising my screen recorder as notepad?

No, there is no function for that.
If the videos on this drive are encrypted, and only that software can decrypt and play them...that is a function of whoever created them.

Trying to circumvent their encryption is piracy.

how did they manage to only allow notepad and calculator to run. it closes every other program running in background.

Lots of things can be done when you control the code and the device.
