On my motherboard manual it has the list of compatible CPUs but doesn't have the list of compatible GPUs.
How do I tell if the GPU is compatible with my motherboard? The board has one PCIE 3.0 x16 bus. That is all the manual mentions. What else do you need to see if your GPU will be compatible?

as far as mother board the pcie slot is all you need

then you have to factor in the length of the card to fit in your case

then you have to factor in the power supply and make sure it can handle the draw on its 12v rail, and if it happens to have the right pcie connecting cables

what video card do you have in mind?
what is your cpu/psu/case?
what is your budget for a card?
what country are you from?

:)

Agreed.
1) Give your POWER SUPPLY
2) Budget?
3) What GAMES do you want to play?
4) What CPU do you have?
5) How much System RAM do you have (the sticks on the motherboard). Often 4GB or more?
6) Do you have 64-bit Windows 7/8?

*One EXAMPLE of a good card is the EVGA GTX760 (ACX cooler) for $250 USD but again it depends on what you intend to do.

I recommend the Asus GTX770:

Your setup would be IDENTICAL to mine with that and it's awesome. Most games at 1920x1080, 60FPS and HIGHEST quality. I do have to tweak a few though as I run all at 60FPS.

Other:
1) Learn how to use Adaptive VSYNC (force per game in NVidia Control Panel)
2) Investigate G-Sync monitors if you buy a new monitor.
3) I also play several games at 2560x1440 but not all since most don't look much different but performance drops (CIV5, SC2, Diablo 3 etc all look better at 2560x1440).

im with photon boy depending on what you want to spend the 770 is great around 340-350. and the 780 you can get for 500-520 which is even better but i dont know if you want to spend that much...also i see you have a matx board what is your case because both of those cards are rather large...better safe than sorry

The case is a mid tower case capable of holding a standard ATX board. It says it can hold cards up to 11.5 inches long.
