How to turn off amber alerts galaxy s4 lolipop 5.0.1?

All guides iv looked at online are incorrect. I have the i545 unlocked s4.
Please help me figure this out even if i have to hack my phone to shut off the stupid alerts.

No hack needed, it is quite easy -- Samsung just made it seem difficult. Follow THIS Tom's Guide.

Like i said that guide isn accurate for my phone mine is the i545 s4

Have you looked under Emergency alerts in the main app tray?

Unfortunately, however, it seems that there is a bug that allows you to turn off all the alerts with the exception of Amber on some builds of Lollipop.

Also, since you "upgraded" to lollipop 5.01, you may have to hunt through Hangouts rather than messaging due to some bugs in that version.

I did what u sugested and looked under application manager and the green box show alerts is checked but grayed out and so is disable button all i could do is clear data and cache and force stop for now. I might need to root my phone to disable it which is gonna suck.
