[SOLVED] How to undervolt Phenom II without using BIOS ?

My bios doesn't have the option to undervolt the cpu. The only option I could find was "Power Saving mode", which did undervolt it a little bit, which helped with a situation I'm dealing with it but it's not fully fixed. So I'm looking for a way to undervolt my CPU properly.

I've tried 2 utilities, "AMD Overdrive" and "Ryzen Master". AMD Overdrive just didn't work and Ryzen Master straight up BSOD my system, I had to go into safe mode to delete that software as it would BSOD the OS everytime. So there's that.

SO, if you know of a tool or method I can use to undervolt my Phenom II other than BIOS, it'll be greatly appreciated.

And please no one ask me "Why?" as I'm not going to providing those details, because I want people to stay on topic. Otherwise people start talking about the non-important part of conversatin more instead of sticking to the topic. So I'm sorry already, but please no one ask those questions.

What motherboard are you on?

And I am going to ask why, because knowing what situation you're dealing with may get us to a workaround. However to be honest if the BIOS doesn't have it, and Overdrive won't do it, you may be out of luck.

Being passive aggresive was not my intent. I never said I wouldn't provide any further deatils, I just meant those specific details. Because it would steer the conversation to another direction. It has happened before and will happen again, because it's human nature, I can't change it. People would start saying I'm wrong, it would turn into this heated discussion, and frankly I don't wanna deal with all that.

If there's a way, I would love to know, I just don't wanna spend time on unnecessary stuff that ends with me getting zero solutions, and everyone getting angry over nothing.

Ryzen Master, as name implies, works only with Ryzen system.
AOD may work but you need and early version (before FX)
On the other hand, any SW solution works by modifying BIOS settings, so, if your MB/BIOS doesn't support manual voltage settings, no SW can do that either.

That's sadge. I thought there must be something, that someone knows about, here, that could help in this situation, which I couldn't find online as I don't really know how to dig up old relevant searches/websites, I tried my best tho. So should I even try finding older version of Overdrive or the effort will go in vain at this point?

This is your problem, it has the Nvidia nForce 7025 chipset. AMD Overdrive only works with AMD chipsets, not even an old version will help.

In this case if you can't do it in the BIOS, it can't be done.

After some digging, I've come to the conclusion that trying to find older versions of AMD Overdrive isn't gonna work because of the reason Rogue Leader explained.

So unless someone got any another method, I think we hit a dead end.

But if you do have another motherboard, the info I'm gonna provide would be helpful :

So thanks to these I was able to find older version numbers of AMD Overdrive. First I tried to find 2.1.1 Beta but couldn't find a working link so I moved on to 3.2.0, got a working download here - https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/O...-EVO-USB3-AMD-OverDrive-Utility-3200386.shtml As it said Asus, I was a little confident, it would work, but it didn't, gave a "can't find 7-series chipset" error.

So I thought let's just dig a little deeper, and after trying a lot, I found a working download link for 2.1.1 beta as well - https://www.guru3d.com/files-get/amd-overdrive-2-1-beta,4.html , got the similar error as above iirc.

Then I thought lets's just get to the roots, 2.0.7, it was real hard to find working download links, but on this german website I found it - https://winfuture.de/downloadvorschalt,2052.html, you have to run the step as administrator and compatibity mode of Windows XP, after installing as well. It says something along the lines of "AOD couldn't load/launch".

But while I was seraching for 2.0.7, I found this website which indicated that there's another version called 2.0.3 - http://www.leechermods.com/2007/11/amd-overdrive-207-download.html but the download links weren't working, Of Course. So after digging a bit more, I found this - http://www.3dfxzone.it/programs/?objid=3877 Again got the same error as above, but surprisingly didn't have to run the setup in XP compatibility mode.

I went DEEP in this hole, so you don't have to. So, if you have an amd chipset these softwares will help you, but if you have an Nvidia one like mine, I don't think it's worth digging any deeper than this.
