How to unlock/unprotect the memory card of canon digital camera

Ok even though it is the wrong section for this I think I can help. Remove whatever card is in the camera... Now have a good look at the memory card and there should be a little switch which you can move.. Move it the OTHER way and then it should work if I am correct but when you insert it into your computer for pics you need to put it back and do this procedure everytime. Hope this helps.
