I have a motherboard (Asus m4a785t-m) which I want to install Windows 11 in it. When I try to install it I recieve a message that this version of windows isn't compatible. I want to update the BIOS to possibly fix this.

I downloaded the BIOS file from the official Asus website. It is a .ROM file. In the Asus website there isn't any file to install a program to update the BIOS, and in the BIOS, there isn't any utility to update itself. Because of these 2 reasons I don't know what to do now.

What can I do to update the BIOS of my Asus m4a785t-m motherboard?

Windows 11 does not support Legacy BIOS, which is what all AM3 boards had (AM3+ 900 series chipsets got UEFI, but you only have 785G). However all AM3 Phenom chips have SSE4a and thus POPCNT so once installed, Win 11 should continue to work unsupported, at least for now.

You just need install media made that bypasses the hardware check (ie made using Rufus)
