Hello, I'm trying to run the SketchUp 2017 software in my laptop which has an intel i5-M480 processor. The graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics and I'm using Windows 7 Home.

When I try to run the software it gives me the error that it needs a graphics card and/or graphic card's driver that supports OpenGL 3.0 or greater as my current OpenGL version is 2.1

Is there a way to update my graphics driver to support OpenGL 3.0? I've tried installing every driver I found but nothing works. Thank you.

P.S. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite M646-S4114.

Solution
Unfortunately you're only going to see OpenGL2.1 support as the hardware support it to that point. OpenGL 3.0 support began from Intel core I processors which cam equipped with the HD2000 iGPU.

You're going to have to migrate to a newer platform if you'd want to take advantage of OpenGL3.0.

Thank you for the answer, I was hoping not to get new hardware but what can you do. I've seen some guys making OpenGL 3.0 work on linux with the same hardware, maybe if Intel developed a better and/or updated driver for Windows it would work but whatever. Will have to use an older version of the software I need to run on this laptop. Thanks again!
