How to use multi hard disks

Hello, i have a 65GB solid state for my o/s and a 350GB im trying to put my other programs on but i cant seem to have the other stuff copy to the 2nd hd alone my system is pretty jacked i also have a 1tb and a 500 gb full of my data music movies and such how is the best way to set theese up im running a AMD Phenom 2 black 6 core processor at 3.2 ghz and 16 gb of 1333 ram my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-890FXA-ud7 when i install other stuffl ike games to the drive R whicn is the drive i am trying to put all the other crap on it is installing to my ssd also how can i prevent this

If you are using vista or 7, it sounds like it might be a folder virtualization problem. If this is the case, running as an administrator should fix the problem or disabling UAC, which is not recommended.
