How to wall mount a monitor without screw holes

I have a Samsung S22C300H. I've used it on a desk normally but now I would like to change the whole place and wall mount it. The problem is that there are no screw holes on the back. I did notice however that the base screws on with a screw at the bottom. I was thinking if there was a way to attach some sort of L bracket, one side would have vesa compliant holes and the other side would be where I screw it in instead of the base.

Is there some way I can do this or should I custom-make it?? Also would it harm my monitor? I want to have a height adjustable mount, but of course I'm still in the planning stage, so I might not even do this, especially if I find that it's not feasible for me.

Thanks :)

Thank you all, I was aware of that, especially since the back of my monitor is smooth. Thanks ss202sl for replying to kanewolf for me. However I still would like an answer please

OK, so if I "mount" the monitor from the bottom, instead of the base (a bracket would be hung with a normal vesa mount, and the monitor would be hung to the bracket from it's base), would that harm it?? Or is it just as secure???

Possibly a modified wall mount laptop arm would work.

The ones I have seen mounted on the base, have the base on them and straps were used to tie the base to whatever it was on. I've seen several portable video conference units setup that way, and it's stable enough to be pushed around. Should be stable enough to sit still on the wall.

Thanks guys. I was thinking, instead of using cable ties what if I screw the "shelf" into the monitor instead of the base. My monitor has a screw hole for the base.

That should work. Up through the platform, into that bolt hole. Some nice wide washers to spread the load.
