How will newegg deliver to apartment?

sometimes when i order things on amazon and it is done through ups the ups people just leave the stuff at my apartment door which is not good for $600 worth of computer components. anyone else ever ordered through newegg to an apartment?

If you are ordering that value of stuff, they will almost certainly send it signature post. if you dont sign for it, and something happens, they are obligated to pay for it.

since it will have to be signed for do i have to specify a time? since i won't be here from 8-5 every week day...?

For UPS w/Signature if you are not there, UPS will keep the package and try again the next day. They will try three times and then return the package to sender. Unless something has changed very recently, they do not let you choose special delivery times. However, you may be able to go get the package from your nearest UPS depot. Check where that is though, as it may be quite a ways away. Your best bet is to just have the packages left at your door, or get a trustworthy neighbor who is home to receive them.

Why not have it sent to where you are from 8 - 5 ?

No but I have had ups drop off a few grand of parts to the wrong house and swear up and down they delivered it to my house. I got my 4 monitors 2 days later.
