This is my first build:
Cpu - Intel Core i7-4790K
Gpu - Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 290
Mb - MSI X99S SLI PLUS
Ram - Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4
Psu - Antec High Current Gamer HCG-900 900W
Hdd - Seagate 3TB
Case - Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo Aluminum ATX Ultimate Full Tower

Any suggestions? The reason the psu wattage is so high is i plan to add some lights and water-cool the cpu. Im going for a themed build, orange blue and black. What could i do different? I dont plan to go much over $2500 (includes price for dual monitors) I was going to go AMD but seeing as very few games can utilize 4 cores i went intel, i also heard intel plays ARMA 3 a little better.
Thanks mates!

Solution
Yes I agree with you tiny voices, that the built only if you want to go with DDR4 And x99. If you want to just gaming then get 4790k and a good z97 chipset mobo and sli two gtx 970. ...:)

i5 4790k will be enough for gaming. Put that money to get gtx 980. R9 290 will might be bottleneck with cpu and also it is more good and efficient, more VCore and VRAM than r9 290.

MAIN THING, YOU ARE GETTING A LGA1150 CPU AND MOBO WITH LGA2011-3? HOW IT WILL COMPATIBLE?
Wait I am doing a built for you. ...

R9 290 cannot bottleneck the CPU,
better to to put money on R9 290x, gtx 970 or 980.

Thanks ONKI,

This is the built if you want to go DDR4. Installing lights and fans dint require bigger PSU. ... use an SSD to boot. Here I make some changes in that built, take a look at this. ...
